Sociable| :: GENERAL :: * How did you get the name "Sazael"? At first I wanted something related to Raziel, the angel, but since it's also a famous videogame character (as Dante for example) people won't think of the myth first, but the game  Then I wanted to mix my favourite names, Azrael, Samael and also Azazel, then "Sazael" appeared.  * How old are you and what is your current situation ? I'm 18 and still studying at home for my final exam coming on next june. After getting it, I'll move to the South (if everything's fine) and study english civilizations and languages, also some other languages because I just love it  and maybe follow some art courses, but this isn't my priority right now.* How do you look like for real ? Haha well, hmm... I am... something... weird... rather tall, long dark hair (now fading from black to my natural color, hm), f*cking skinny... really, even if I'm like, ALWAYS eating something. Green/silver eyes surrounded by panda eyes most of the time... dark clothes, lots of leather and stripes, snickers or boots, hmm... ?* Gift-giver or gift-reciever ? Aaaargh more receiver than giver, unfortunately. I'm so much of lazy procastinator that when I plan to draw something for others, they have enough time to draw me a bazillion things. ;^; this isn't funny. BUT, I love EVERY thing I get  seriously, I don't deserve the half /modesty?* Art, hobby or vocation ? It was going to be a vocation... I'm still thinking that I could do something with it but... it's not my priority anymore, since I love studying languages and history I'll study it more further. Then I'll see if I can mix those two passions into a job, or project... * Any hobby, excluding art ? Errr... I don't have any other "serious" hobby, I love to learn about mythologies and ancient civilizations, history, foreign cultures, travels... also learning about cars, going to conventions about them... When I have time, I go to the cinema and... video games ftw. I used to play them, like... all day long when I could. Now I have less time, but I'm still fond of 'em. * What is Sazael's specie exactly ? The base is a jackal. Since they're my favourite animals. And Saz is higher than average because I love huge dogs, huge beasts in general. And, she has a lion tail because... I'm Leo, and thanks to that I always loved those animals. Her markings are also directly inspired from the first OC/fursona/whatever I ever made when I was... 6-7 ? It was a slender sabertooth-thing with a blade at the end of his tail. Don't ask. :: ART :: * Is your art status always "closed" ? Uuuurgh almost, I let it that way because I'm a very lazy person and some stuff may take me... monthes. I don't want to be overloaded by art owed because it pretty much kills my motivation and inspiration (no joke, nothing is less inspiring than a commish or something, even if the subject is interesting ). And I'm always like "let's close the status durrrr D8<" and just after "omgg let's do a trade ! 8D". Yes, I just suck.* What do you think of critiques ? I remember a time when you were on dA and getting 3x comments than now and very good critiques... /nostalgy ...ok well, I love critiques in general, I'm rarely putting the "NO CRIT PLZ" on my art, or only when I'm very upset with something. Or most of the time I'll be aware of my mistakes but I don't feel like fixing them. I KNOW this isn't responsible at all, I must work more on my perfectionism, but old habits die hard. I like when people point out a mistake, like "you should draw the legs longer to not mess up the rest of the anatomy" but I hate things like "Why have you drawn those legs THAT skinny ?" or "why his skin has that ton?" or "the clothing looks weird" (there are just examples), those "critiques" are directly toward the character itself and not the drawing, that's why I can't bear them. * Are you an exclusive digital artist ? Mostly yeah. I don't have a proper installation for traditional work, even if I'm starting to get more and more quality materials. I always loved to do mechanical pencil works, and I'm training myself at pastels too. But most of the time I'm doing everything digitally, since I moved to my laptop, I don't use the scanner anymore so everything is 100% done by tablet. I'll try to get more into traditional though. * Main inspiration sources ? In order lol. When I was a child my mother got me into ancient civilizations and mythologies. She also taught me about our viking heritage (it sounds funny lol) and the celtic stuff. Then, through video games I discovered such awesome things like Prince of Persia, Tomb Raider, DMC (later), etc... many good references I still use through my creations. But they're all linked by something particular : they all talk about myths, ancient cultures and civilizations. I just... love this. I also find my inspiration through the urban culture, I live near to a big city (Paris, to not name it) so I've been influenced by the urban style for a long time.* Patient enough to work for days on a same work ? Totally not . If I start working on something, I must finish on the... next 3 days maximum or I'm pretty sure I'll give up. But, I can sketch a thing, let it rot somewhere, and then... poof ! Inspiration comes back and I finish the piece very fast. It's weird. I can't really describe my rythm.* What is you overall rythm in drawing ? Argh. lol. Usually, I start working on a piece, and finish it within 5-6 hours. But that was before. Now I tend to search some new styles, new concepts, I don't know, it takes me a few days to finish it. If I finish it. I'm in a "study period", I start many things to explore some new ways, less than 10% is finished. * Any long-time project running ? I do. Since... 3-4 years I work on something... big. So big that I'm still planning it, I haven't gone into the serious stuff yet. I won't finish it before a few years, I guess. But I don't care, I just take my time * Ever had art lessons ? Never. I plan to get some in the near future. I want to improve some stuff like the perspective, shading, movement... and many many things. Internet is good to improve fast on a few things, but I want to get into serious things * What do you plan to draw more on future ? Humans. I must improve at them. Backgrounds, maybe. I mean, real ones I wanna be able to draw scenes, landscapes, dynamics poses for my future project.* Favorite media, even not practised ? Watercolors. I admire everyone who is able to paint with them, it's so awesome I love Copic Markers too, I must find a shop which sells some to train myself at that.:: GEOGRAPHY :: (I got so many questions about this subject that I had to do another category XD) * France ! How is it ? Qhjgfsg that question Well. France is... a place where people is frequently on strike, and it's getting very boring, seriously. Sometimes they don't even know WHY. Here we aslo eat f*cking good things, have a beautiful capital full of tourists and snob people. And great cars. My region, at the north of Paris, has nothing very interesting to see except pretty cities with famous hippodromes and castles and forests and all. Our beaches are nice, from the Atlantic to the Mediterranea. The Eastern South is the best region, I plan to move here very soon. It's very warm and sunny and beautiful and...  If you're a tourist, sure there are many things to do/see and all, but as for living, it's pretty... random. But the fact that we share many borders with other countries is a plus for sharing cultures. That's my opinion of course. EVEN IF WE DON'T SHOW IT WE LIKE OUR NEIGHBOURS IN FRANCE. * Have you visited the Eiffel Tower ? How many times ? Have you ever been to the top ? If so. how is it ? I went on top of it twice. If the weather is sunny you'll be able to see the whole town, if not, you'll only see mist and clouds lol. Other than that, I can't count the times I went underneath, or just crossed it, etc. I'm frequently in the town, but more next to the shopping areas, I've already been to the monuments, museums, etc. * Why do you like Egypt and History so much ? I guess this is because my mother loved it too and lived in Greece before. I read many books about mythologies, ancient cultures, and totally loved them. I've also grown up in a open-minded family which travels ALOT. So I'm very open to other countries, and I've seen pretty much of them to be able to make my own opinion about other cultures. I have awesome memories of meeting new people, even if I was still a child, I tied bonds easily with them (especially when we went to Hungary, we even met a family from Poland and played football together and all ). Then, at school we learnt many many things, from the Athena democracy to the Cold War and so much more.  I also went to Egypt, and this is one of my best memories.* I saw this stamp in your Shoutboard ... you like Germany ? I do ! My heritage has a part of german blood, I can't deny it Even if I have big troubles with the local food, the beer and the cars make me forget all the bad experiences Even if I love this country, I'm not learning the language... I don't know why. Maybe later. My love for this country must be also from the Prussian history... I love Prussia D: and their flag.* What do you know about Austria ? Not much in fact, except that Vienna is just amazingly beautiful, I can say it since I visited it. Also their famous Spanish riding school... I've always been fascinated by it as a child, since I love horses. Their Lipizzans are love. It always reminded me of our Cadre Noir de Saumur. F*cking high level. I know they have a prestigious background, allied with France in the past (Marie Antionette, lol) and had very very good music composers, for example. I guess I love Austria as much as I loved Hungary. Seriously.* Are you going to take a trip to USA soon ? Where ? I'd like to see the USA, we talk so much about it, but rare are those who really went to see it by themselves instead of only watching american movies, for example. I want to see the desert regions, (Arizona especially), and as for the cities, I've always been fascinated by Reno and LV. *get shot'd* I'M SORRY but for someone who love casinos and cars... and palm trees. Well. Wanna see Florida too. But all those travels aren't my priority yet, I have too much things to plan first :: RANDOM :: * How does it feel to be 6 hours in the future? You know, when half the world is just getting up at your eating lunch ? It feels like... it already happened for those in Oceania, for example. * Why jackals are emaciated canines, why not portly animals ? Why not asking them instead ? In general, there is no McDonalds in the desert. Hard to get fat.* Panda eyes ? You like ??? I DO I have it... barely all the time.* How do I get eyes like that ? (XD) OH YOU AND YOUR RIDDICK REFERENCE. I didn't get it at first... Aaaah, Riddick... a concept I'll never get. It just... makes me die of laughing. Haha * What gave you the idea to want to wear "Italian Leather" ? VALENTINO ROSSI !!! Half-joke. My step-father is a biker, he got me into cars and bikes in general. F1, WRC, MGP...And leather is cool. Well, now it's overused, even little chicks wear it 'for fun and style !!11!1' but I wear it mainly because I used to be on bike very often. With my stepfather. Then I had my scooter. And even when I sold it, I kept the habit to wear leather jackets. And let's make it clear : italian leather is the most beautiful. Okay, expensive too. * Any favourite car(s) ? Rofl I was SOOO expecting this... No need to precise about the Mustang ('69 and '05) but also some english, german and italian brands. Aston, BMW, Lamborghini... the fav of my favs. It'd be too long to name them all.:: EXTRA FRANCAIS :: (parce que nous le valons bien) * Fais-tu partie des enfoirés qui sont en vacances pendant qu'on se tape le bac blanc, l'oral des TPE et 5 DS par semaine ? Haha, non, techniquement je ne suis même pas en vacances de toute l'année pour ne pas me retrouver en retard, je bosse presque autant en période de vacances que de cours normaux vu que je suis à la maison, et je compatis pour les bac blancs, déjà moi j'me tape le vrai de vrai dès juin.* Que vas-tu donc faire à Nice ? GLANDER !... euh non, étudier et j'espère également m'installer pour de bon là-bas, à moins qu'une autre opportunité survienne, qui sait. Comme la majorité de ma famille vit là-bas, je m'en vais, si tout ce passe bien, les rejoindre. |
